What this site collects.
Short version: we measure visits with Google Analytics, and beyond that, nothing unless you write to us.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people
visit and which pages they read. It sets a cookie (typically named
_ga and _ga_*) and collects standard usage
data — pages viewed, roughly how you arrived, device and
browser type, and an approximate location such as city or region.
It does not collect your name, email or anything you type into the
form below. That data is handled under
Google’s
own privacy policy, which covers what they retain and for how
long. There is no advertising pixel and no other third-party
tracker on this site.
What loads from elsewhere
Type and images are served from this site’s own domain. Besides the Google Analytics tag above, which runs on every page, two more things reach outside — but only when you ask for them:
- The map on the contact section loads from Google Maps, and only once you scroll far enough down the page to see it. Google may set cookies at that point, under their own privacy policy. Never scroll that far and no request is made.
- The videos only load when you press play. One is on YouTube and uses their no-cookie player; until you click, nothing is requested from YouTube and nothing is recorded by them. The rest are served from our own AWS storage, which sets no cookies and involves no third party.
The project form
The form asks about your project so we can answer with something useful. It collects only what you type into it — your name, how to reach you, and what you tell us about the work. There are no hidden fields.
We use that information to reply to you and to scope the job. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone outside Magek Filmworks except where a project requires it and you have asked us to. If you would like us to delete what you sent, write to us and we will.
